The exhibition featured spaces of different colour boxes – blue, red, black and grey – showing off the relationship between classic and modern Danish design. In an unusually colourful light. The work of artist Josef Albers whose painting explored coloured boxes within boxes was the source of inspiration. Each space presented a different look and feel; yet were still connected by these colourful boxes.

Interiors for this folksy look should use an interesting mix of textures, hues, styles and fabrics.  The Bohemian home is one that is comfortable.  It appeals to the inner hippie in all of us.

Everything about this store including the product was taken into consideration during the brainstorming and design process. Two very real issues had to be solved before opening the store as:  1.) most Europeans weren’t familiar with this type of ice-cream and 2.) the aesthetic of this product is not very attractive when decked with toppings and sauce.

Enter Estudio m Barcelona who developed a creative strategy for this new store.  The main creative twist are the two sugar eyes on top of the ice-cream mountain. The packaging is a very simple and economical construction.  A tray like solution that fits an ice-cream container as well as two containers for toppings.  This makes the product look more appealing and sophisticated.  Can imagine lots of fun to eat too.

The Met Gala is one of the events fashionista’s want to attend. The theme this year PUNK: Chaos to Couture, saw celebs go all out, and since then I’ve been punk’d. The Punk Rock look is big in retail stores and interiors (think skulls a-plenty) as well as some architecture following suit. If you’d like to rebel against the norm, the good thing about this look is that it allows for creativity. Anything black with studs, chains, and metals to bright oranges, fuchsias, blood-red to contrast; to anarchy symbols, skulls,graffiti all add drama for a look that’s decidedly rock ‘n roll
