It was like living in a technicolour wonderland on Saturday when the Holi One music festival came to town. The Mother City was awash in vivid colours as thousands gathered on the parade to celebrate South Africa’s inaugural Holi One festival.
Inspired by the traditional Hindu Holi Festival, which celebrates the coming of spring, the celebration of colour encourages revellers to pummel each other with fistfuls of coloured powder, while dj’s do their thing on stage. Uniting Capetonians in their love of music, dance and having an all round good time under clouds of colourful smoke. And as we (Plascon Design Centre) are all about painting the town colourful we couldn’t miss out. Toni and I headed out and sure had ourselves a time.
Johannesburg your turn is coming (6 April at Emmarentia Dam). Be sure to get your tickets via Web Tickets for a vibrant, energetic experience. For more images check out our Facebook page. Happy Monday!
